SAINT ANTONIO CELEBRATIONS
Celebrations of the Patron Saint Antonio finally becomes a special event in Versilia.
You will find about sixty stands around the streets of Tonfano and you will have the chance to take part in solmen moments: the commemoration of the dead in the sea, the holy Mass celebrated by the Archbishop of Pisa, Mons. Giovanni Paolo Benotto, the procession on the typical flower carpets with the music of “Filarmonica” of Capezzano Monte, the distribution of bread to the believers and the benediction of boats and lifeguards.
And still the award ceremony of Blue Flag, the night boat tour and two dedicated appointments to leisure and sport.

Sunday 9 June at 9.00 am at Bagno Nautilus the swim and run competition; Wednesday 12 June from 20.30, Piazza Leonetto Amadei, Holy Mass and commemoration of dead people in the sea; Thursday 13 June fair in the centre of Tonfano (from 9.00 til 23.00), at 10.30 am Piazzetta Leonetto Amadei ceremony of Blue , at 11.30am Parrocchia Sant’Antonio Holy Mass celebrated by Mons. Giovanni Paolo Benotto, Archbishop of Pisa, ore 21.30 procession on flower carpets with the music of Filarmonica di Capezzano Monte;Saturday 15 June from 14.30 sailing competition. The 2019 Saint Antonio edition is the product of a hard work by Consorzio Mare Versilia, gli Amici del Pontile, Club Velico, Marina Eventi, Amici della Via Francigena, Capitaneria di Porto, Federazione Italiana Nuoto albergatori and a lot of volunteer citizens.
